What You Need to Know about YOUR Session
We will start with a pre-session consultation - usually by phone or email, but in person, too, if needed or preferred. We will determine what your photographic needs are, how I can help you fulfill your needs, and set a date and location for your session. In addition, I'm happy to suggest wardrobe choices and to answer any questions you may have.
I will send you an email reminder a few days before our session to confirm time & date - an opportunity for you to ask any remaining questions you might have.
Sessions are held at the location of your choice; however, I'm happy to make location suggestions if you're not sure where you'd like to be photographed. I love traveling and will do sessions outside of my geographic area - please inquire!
I find that the best images come from clients that are relaxed and unhurried (and having fun!) - especially when younger kids are involved. Therefore, my sessions can last up to 2 hours if needed - I'll follow your lead! I'm mindful of how valuable your time is, but I want you and your family to be relaxed and enjoy the experience.
And speaking of that, you might be surprised that being photographed can be fun. My approach is very low-key and I don't like to 'pose' my subjects. I like to think of myself as a witness who captures the interesting personalities and relationships of my subjects as they interact naturally. I will direct you a bit, if needed, but mostly we will joke around & play (especially important with children, but I think adults need a chance to let loose every now & then, too!). And all along, I'll be snapping away, capturing great images of you & your family, friends, or colleagues. Almost all of my clients admit after our sessions that they actually had a good time!
After our initial consultation, you'll put down a $100 deposit to reserve your date. You'll be able to pay the deposit with either a check or by card. Sessions that need to be rescheduled because of illness, bad weather, etc..., will not incur any additional fees, but must be rescheduled within a 4-week period to avoid forfeiture of the deposit. This deposit is applied towards the creative fees; the balance will be due at the time of the session.
Creative fees for portrait sessions for up to 4 subjects start at $175 (additional subjects are $25/person). These fees cover my time, talent, and expertise! In addition, they include up to 2 hours of on-location shooting, image processing, and basic editing of the images (contrast, color correction, cropping, & removing some blemishes & stray hairs). More extensive editing is available at an hourly rate.
After your session, your images will be edited and processed using state-of-the-art technology. They will be available in a private online gallery within 2 weeks for you to view and share with family and friends! Expedited editing is available with advanced notice.
Unless otherwise specified, fees do NOT include prints or digital files. These products may be purchased a la carte or in packages. Price lists for these items, as well as custom-designed products, are provided upon request!
Product ordering - You can order products yourself, right from your online gallery! Or if you'd prefer some guidance, we can meet in person to discuss product options and place orders - I'll even come to your home to make it easier for you!
One other item - I want my clients to be completely satisfied with their Cheri Widzowski Photography session and products and offer a 100% guarantee. If you're not happy, I will do my best to remedy the situation or refund your payment. Guaranteed!
Event photography (parties, anniversaries, graduations, banquets, etc..) is available. Fees are dependent upon the number of hours needed and may include digital files. Inquire with details of your event.
For commercial work, half-day and whole-day rates are available. Please inquire with specifics and I will send you a detailed proposal within 48 hours.
